By the order of Forest Department Vallabh Bhawan, Order No./F 15-36/2007/10-2: Bhopal Dated 12/12/2008
To strengthen the security arrangements for tigers and other wildlife in the state, the State Government constituted a state-level 'Tiger Strike Force' under the Chief Wildlife Warden in the MP Forest Department.
The structure of the said force was as follows
1. The officer-in-charge (OIC) of the State Level Tiger Strike Force – Rank of Chief Conservator of Forests.
2. The Anti-Poaching Squad of Bhopal transformed to State Level Tiger Strike Force, and its jurisdiction expanded to entire state of Madhya Pradesh.
3. The headquarters of the Anti-Poaching Squad located in Seoni was shifted to Indore.
4. Five other Anti-Poaching Squads namely Jabalpur, Itarsi, Satna, Sagar, and Seoni was restructured as Regional Tiger Strike Forces. Their jurisdictions (Forest Circles) were as follows:

The State Government reallocated the posts to the Deputy Conservator of Forests, State Tiger Strike Force, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. Now the distribution of these reallocated posts among the Regional Tiger Strike Force units is as follows:
